Do we need a reason to smile?

Updated: Jun 20

It seems that it really is insane not to smile, as there is nothing cheaper available around.

When you smile, there is a greater possibility that others around will smile as well.

So, why do we still need a reason to smile? And why is it so difficult sometimes to do it?

The simplest way to see more people smiling is to start smiling myself.

Don't wish more people were smiling - do it yourself.

A smile is a key to open many closed doors.

The problem is, I think, that we expect others to do the things we should be doing ourselves. Or we expect them to be doing what we want them to do, not exactly approving of their choices. We also expect life to deliver what we wish for, not necessarily what life has to offer.

That brings me to my favorite subject: being grateful. If only I keep an eye on things, people, and events I can be grateful for, it is so easy to smile.

The hardest part is to remember that there is so much in life to be grateful for, not only expect what life hasn't given us yet.

I am definitely grateful for the ocean and all shades of blue.

I am grateful for the best husband in the world.

I am grateful for Leia and Gizmo.

Plus many many more things in life that make me smile.
